"Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others."
Philippians 2: 4
Welcome to the Usher Ministry, a crucial part of worship in the Church. As one of the most visible ministries, ushers play a major role in ensuring that people see and experience God's unconditional love. In Christ, we have received this love, and we are called to extend that same love to others.
Ushers are also responsible for greeting worshippers as they enter the sanctuary, answering questions, and being alert for first-time guests. If someone gives you a prayer request, it should be passed along to a Pastor or directly to a member of the Prayer Ministry or Assimilation Ministry.
During the service, ushers will record worship attendance, including all congregation members, pastors, musicians, choir, nursery personnel, infants, youth, and ushers. Ushers will also remain in a suitable position to direct those entering and be attentive to anyone needing assistance during the entire service. These are just a few of the responsibilities of being a dutiful usher at Rockwall Friendship. We hope you'll join in serving in this vital role.
